Phantasy Star Portable 2 Ties Up With Western Gaming Mags

By Spencer . June 18, 2010 . 9:17am

imageThe Famitsu shield won’t be in the Western version of Phantasy Star Portable 2, but Sega isn’t cutting items tied to video game magazines out of the game. Instead, Sega of America is replacing them with, probably more relevant, Western magazines.

A representative from Sega wouldn’t say which magazines, though. We know the list includes both North American and European publications. So, I’m imagining a Game Informer shield and an Edge sword.

I also asked about the items from Valkyria Chronicles II – school uniforms, a spear, shield, Gallian rifle, and Lancer. These items also are confirmed for the Western version of Phantasy Star Portable 2.

Edge is a great mag but I think I’ve finally found one better, Games tm. It’s as informative a similar focus on gaming ‘culture’ but without the dry writing style.

Yeah, but what about the Project DIVA swag? I’m not holding my breath since it was cut from Phantasy Star Zero, but surely they know that we know their dirty little Vocaloid secret.
