prin3dTheir logo wasn’t on the list of publishing partners during Nintendo’s press conference, but NIS America is working with the Nintendo 3DS.

Haru Akenaga, President of NIS America, confirmed to Siliconera they received a Nintendo 3DS development kit. No specific 3DS titles have been announced. But, since NIS America is working with the 3D handheld we totally expect a Disgaea game to popup on the platform someday.

It’s probably easier to list who isn’t working with the 3DS, at this point.

  • Disgaea: 3Dimensions of Darkness.

    Disgaea 3DS, hell yeah

  • Sam

I could see something like Disgaea 2 coming out on the 3DS, just like they released a version of Disgaea on DS.

    Oh Yeah Baby~!

Please make something new, no more ports. If you MUST port something at least let it be something that hasn’t been ported before like Makai Kingdom.

    • kylehyde

100% agree. Makai Kingdom could look really awesome in 3D

  • I’m more Sony fanboy so I’m not that excited… But I don’t have anything against it though (as long as they keep Prinny games on PSP/2)

What’s wrong if they bring in the Prinny games fo a Nintendo handheld? I’d say BRING IT!

Wait, I’m confused. Is NISA going to be developing these games for the 3DS, or are they localizing games for the 3DS?

    • NISA has a 3DS dev. kit. If they do, their parent company – Nippon Ichi probably has one too.

      • LastFootnote

Well, maybe. Maybe it’s Gust or Idea Factory. Maybe it’s some other company they haven’t previously localized for.

  • A Prinny game would be interesting in 3D~

  • I would like to see some badass Overlords in 3D D: Makai Kingdom 2 please~

    • Oh yes, Makai Kingdom was probably my favourite SRPG from NIS, even above Disgaea.
A new Makai Kingdom with the baddest ass freakin’ Overlord in the whole damn cosmos Zetta would be freaking epic!

  • ForeverFidelis

Looks like I need to buy one now..

I didn’t much expect NISA to be interested in 3D gaming considering many of their hits are simple games with 2D sprites on 3D fields. I am nervous as there are plenty of charming 2D games that could be localized and yet they eye this… Perhaps they are more main stream than I thought?
