Gladiator Begins Demo Freed For PSN On July 13

By Spencer . June 27, 2010 . 7:02am

GB_PSPcoversheet Aksys, confirming what Gamefly leaked, announced Gladiator Begins for North America with a choice quote by localization editor Ben Bateman.

“You may also rest assured that historical accuracy has been maintained,” Ben reassures. “Using a device obtained from the Before-Comers, and a race of alien beings as beautiful as they are powerful, we dispatched several of our testers to Rome in its heyday, and those that returned assured us that everything in the game was 100% accurate to every possible degree, and no more fact-checking was necessary. There is no more period-accurate gladiator fighting game on the PSP system. On that you have my solemn word.”

Ancient Rome… had catgirls in tube tops? I guess I can’t question Aksys since they had time travelers inspect the period.

Aksys also sent us a message from the future reminding us that we forgot to post about the Gladiator Begins demo when it came out on July 13. In this reality, we beat them to the punch.

Please tell me that cover art is reversible like it is in Japan.

    Because that was totally awesome.

  • My faithful editor, Ben, did an awesome job with the editing! He deserves all the props he can get ;)And Spencer, Therianthropes were quite the staple in ancient Rome. The tube tops were just a secret added bonus. Unfortunately they were stripped from the records ;)

Yeah, I’ve played and beaten the Japanese version….. it’s actually quite repetitive

  • ShinNoKami

    Oh joy. More mindless carnage.
