Sony’s Japan Studio Is Working On Ape Escape 4

imageWondering what Sony’s Japan studio is doing? Aside from The Last Guardian and overseeing White Knight Chronicles, Japan Studio is developing Ape Escape 4.

“Japan Studio are working on Ape Escape 4. They also could be multi-tasking and working on another game as well. They are known for that. Eg. Ape Escape 2 and Piposaru 2001,” says Jack, one of the members of the Ape Club team.

Check back later this week for more Ape Escape news. Apparently, there are two Ape Escape games being made for PlayStation 3.

Two at the same time? and for the ps3?
Wow,but seriously,my concentration is already sat on this.

Somebody really need to get us the release date for this one.

  • woa two?, this will be fun, im sure the world where you gotta catch the apes will be freaking big

Being a huge Ape Escape fan, this is great news! Maybe one is a Ape Escape 4 and the other is a Piposaru Ape Escape game? Geez, the excitement is making me bananas.

      I’m with you.

  • Wonder if they will support move just as the 1st game was Dual Shock only.

    • Zeik56

I’m pretty certain I heard it mentioned that they were making an Ape Escape game specifically for the Move.

It would be cool if one of the two was made specifically for the Move, while the other used the Dualshock. Though I’m guessing only one of the two is going to be a true Ape Escape game.

Ah! Ape Escape 4! One of the reason for me to get the Mov. I hope Spike and Jimmy are back or at least make cameos. I loved in the orginal how the dualshock controller fit the game so seamlessly. Ape Escape 4 will be a great way to showcase the Mov if done correctly and could be a extremely fun and playable game like the originals were (Ah that blue sky factor! yes I love fun games with blue skies).

  • This is not a Sony-run twitter account, it’s an imposter.

But SCE did announce one new Ape Escape game with PlayStation Move support at TGS last year.

  • thebanditking

Personally I love the Ape escape games, Im just worried how motion heavy this new one will be. Hopefully its Dualshock compatible.

    • MrRobbyM

It would be pretty stupid to not add dualshock support to the game. Ape Escape is a known, but not exactly system selling(or Move selling) game. Though, I would get the move for this game alone. I just think catching monkeys by swinging the move sounds so fun! xD
