Play Natsume’s E3 Lineup At Anime Expo

imageThis year Natsume is making their first appearance at Anime Expo and are bringing a bunch of games to play. Stop by their booth (#1201 in South Hall) to tryout Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove, Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals, and Rune Factory 3.

Basically, their E3 lineup will be on display for the public. The only thing not confirmed is if their giant cow plush, which Natsume used to decorate their E3 booth, will make an appearance or not.

  • Oh this is pretty cool, lately Natsume has been really active, a lot more than before, this is great in my opinion, i always loved their games but never really did get into natsume, like i am now with aksys, atlus or NISA

    • Natsume needs to cultivate their fanbase a bit more. Get it? Cultivate?! Because they publish Harvest Moon games? Har har har! …Ahem. *Adjusts monocle*

But seriously, when you’re a publisher of relatively obscure titles like Atlus, NISA and Aksys, your relationship with your prospective fanbase is pivotal; it fosters devotion and increases the overall sales of franchises that are recognizable to them as well as their willingness to support riskier endeavors.

An area in which Natsume could improve, I think.

Oh…so, they’re finally getting the hint? THAT WE LIKE NORMAL JAPANESE GAMES!? (If you can call them normal xD)

One thing I noticed about Anime Expo is that more video game companies are exhibiting their games there. I was a bit surprised that Capcom had a booth last year. I guess it makes up for the shrinking number of anime companies that used to exhibit at AX in full force. It’s too bad Atlus doesn’t have a booth this year. I’m guessing that has something to do with them not having a booth at E3 this year that they could have reused, too. :/

  • You guys are such teases… And what wouldn’t I do for a giant cow plush?!

… Actually, on second though, I much prefer a giant sheep or chicken, but I wouldn’t turn down the cow.

That’s a good idea. Letting people try the games out and just being there to answer questions. I’m surprised more companies don’t do this. Having impression from game journalists is nice, but nothing beats hands-on experience.

Natsume should also take current games to sell. Anime conventions are great places to get people to buy stuff.

I wonder if NISA is going to start coming to conventions since they are now dabbing in the anime business.

  • My friend posted pictures taken from anime expo and I have no idea that the picture “I like” in FB is Natsume : ) I just love the cat and will soon get Harvest Moon game for the sake of having conversation with my buddy.
