Localized Demo Of Solarobo Spotted At Japan Expo

By Spencer . July 5, 2010 . 4:18am

Solarobo, CyberConnect2’s first Nintendo DS game, may be heading overseas. Namco Bandai brought a localized demo to France’s Japan Expo under the name Project Coda. Here’s footage of it, captured by Nintendo-Master.

No official announcement has been made, but the demo has French text. That seems like a good sign that Namco Bandai will publish Solarobo in Europe. Recently, Namco Bandai has been quite active in PAL territories. They even released Go! Go! Cosmo Cops in Europe even though the Nintendo DS has not been released in Japan.

Damn Namco, so they'll release this but… Still no Tales of Graces?

    grrrrr.

    A giant “meh” from me.

To be honest, I'd rather have this. <3

Love the artwork and such, so I dig it. Hope they bring it to NA as well.

Yeah agreed — Solarobois looking pretty sharp, I like it!

GAH! I have nothing against this, but it was a remark, this is new IP, it's bound to sell less, plus, they didn't even bother with Tales of Innocence on the DS… Whoever runs that company has it all over the place (again, I'm not procastinating against this, in a ideal world I want all their good games to come across)

I really really hope North America gets this, but Namco Europe tends to be more forthcoming with localizations than Namco America. So even if there is an English scrip, Namco America may still give us the middle finger. I'm trying hard not to be hyped for this. :(

But I guess one could always import…DS is region-free. But…the exchange rate D:

When I first saw the screens, I thought it looked kind of meh but the game itself sounded interesting. It looks much better in motion. :)

Yeah, I get what your saying. Namco has no logic at all. I still don't get why we never got Innocence or Hearts. Both look really polished. Graces (with the recall and the fixed bugs) is probably a good game as well.
