PDP sent a neat package to showcase their Afterglow controller series. The box and the controllers light up when you open it. Whoever designed this built a hub that powers USB devices and the nunchuck with four batteries.
It’s like a video game control rave…
The nunchuck has a retractable cord, which is kind of cool. The remote, on the other hand, has awkward button placement. The plus and minus buttons are right below the D-pad and the 1 / 2 buttons are angled 45 degrees up. That makes the controller difficult to use for classic games like New Super Mario Bros.
PDP’s PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 controllers have their own issues, namely USB cord length. You get, roughly, six feet of cable, which wasn’t enough to reach my couch. The Xbox 360 controller’s cord is a little longer, but still not long enough to make it across my living room without being a distraction. USB extension cords required (?).
