Play Dress Up In Super Dimension Game Neptune

By Spencer . July 6, 2010 . 11:08am

Super Dimension Game Neptune has a costume system, equipped items change Neptune’s looks. The picture above shows her as a maid.

Pictures below (from top left to right) are examples of elemental outfits such as: blaze, ground, and cold. Each of these get ups also alter Neptune’s parameters. A full set of cold gear boosts her cold attribute to 100%, but ground becomes –50%. It appears players can mix and match, so you can give Neptune a non-elemental maid outfit and rock shoes.

This game sure does know its demographic.

    • That it does. I’d ask if there isn’t something better NISA could be localizing, but I wouldn’t want to deprive anyone who’s legitimately interested, I guess. Good for whomever enjoyed Agarest Wars.

      • lordryo

That’s what I like, even though jrpgs aren’t the biggest games out there right now, there’s still a big fan base for them, and it’s good to see developers reaching to us! And as long as we have Compile Hearts, Idea Factory, NIS/NISA to deliver, we can’t be disappointed!

  • Code

rar, yay for visual armors >w<! I have to admit the last few posts on this game has piqued my interested, although I'm hoping though that the gameplay is actually good. As much of a selling point purple haired girls are, I need to see some mechanics and gameplay!

  • wow >_> costumes lol…

    cmon NISA! localize this! xD

    • godmars

They’ve already said, but have yet to confirm, in another interview.

Now just have to hope the combat engine is good.

      • It is. >_>

        • this world is too good to end in 2012 xD

          • raymk

You’ll be the only one ending in 2012 i however will be staying alive and well lol, 2012 is rebirth for me =D

        • Ereek

Will you be working on the localization of this title, or will it be given to another “group” within the company?

Also, at the speed you’re going with titles, how much overtime do you have to put in, wow!

          • I’m not sure… it’s still not certain whether or not we’re localizing Neptune, but I have played it a little.

My speed? Pssh. I don’t mind doing this sort of thing all day if I have to! It’s fun and I love every step in the process.

          • Hey Nick! How could NISA say no to this?|5 :3

          • epiphaniesarefun

Thanks for all your hard work!

  • Seems like an advanced version of Trinity Universe’s Managraphic system, instead of recolouring the blade you get elemental armours?

In which case lets hope for moeblob element in this too :p

  • DemonicX

  • lordryo

Oh man, this is going to be the best jrpg EVER! I can’t think of any game I want more than this right now! I pray that NISA gets a hold of this, and soon, I don’t know how much longer I can hold out for this!
