Vanquish Lands In North America First

By Spencer . July 8, 2010 . 5:22pm

imageWithin one month, Vanquish will be released around the world. North America gets the game first on October 19. Pre-order Vanquish at Gamestop and you’ll get access to a three weapon pack.

A few days later, on October 21, Vanquish makes its debut in Japan. Europe finally gets Shinji Mikami’s third person shooter on October 22.

After the launch of Vanquish, Sega’s four title deal with PlatinumGames will be over. Sega still retains the rights to the Bayonetta, Infinite Space, Vanquish, and MadWorld properties and PlatinumGames can partner with another publisher if they want.

i just hope this trippy version of bayonetta isn’t so wild its unplayable

Bayonetta + Casshern kick = awesome :) The cover thing reminds me of Gears of War though, but this is only single player..

and it will be a great single player, we don’t always need multi player to add replay value, if single player is high adrenalin and is exciting i’ll replay it infinite times

        • Aoshi00

Oh I didn’t mean I would miss multiplayer because I rarely play online myself. Just that the cover and dashing reminds me a little of the roadie run, and the missiles raining from the sky in Gears.. I agree, if this is as exciting and polished as Bayonetta, I would replay it again and again (well, I was unlocking the outfits to dress her up lol). I’m sure this game is fun. Come to think of it, I need to play Infinite Space from Platinum too, they’re awesome.

      • This comment sold the game to me!

Didn’t know about the deal with Sega is over after this. Hope that whoever they go with will give them more support for a possible MadWorld 2 since they showed interested in another one.And cool to know it’s coming out here first. I’ll be showing more PG love with my purchase on day one.

  • What? Sega owns the rights?! WTF! Didn’t Platinum (Clover) learn anything?! So disappointing if this is true. Makes me dislike Sega a lot.

  • Scallion

I can’t wait for Sega to release a few disappointing sequels that fail to capture what made the originals worth playing, or for them to ignore the games at all!
