Bandai Namco Luring In… A Fishing RPG?Many RPGs have fishing mini-games, but a whole RPG about fishing? Namco Bandai might be making one.

 

Searching through the Japanese trademark database, we found RPG tsuri monogatari or RPG fishing story in English registered by Bandai Namco Games. To date, we have not seen a fishing RPG from Namco Bandai. Marvelous and Natsume, on the other hand, tested the fishing RPG waters earlier with the River King series.

 

Tales of Fishing, anyone?

    oh noes xD, but then again, maybe if there is a interesting game, rpg, and make fishing more interesting, this may sound good

    My favorite fishing RPG is Breath of Fire 3. Not really a fishing RPG, but one of the best RPGs with the best fishing game ever made as a mini game. Tied with BoF3 is BoF4, which also allows the use of the fishing controller.

    The fishing game in Suikoden V isn't too bad either.

    Most of their recent original (JP developed) games turned out good or great, so here's hoping for a nice game.

    Yep, I'm reliving that action right now :) I discovered the BoF3 port they did for psp (but never released in the us, just europe). Happy time during breaks at work!

    I would hope this would be for the 360 and PS3, but I'm guessing it most likely is a DS game. =(

    If it has “Tales of” in it, Namco Bandai would never release it in the West anyways.

    Best fishing mini-game yet goes to Zelda: OoT. now there's a challenge and yet it was very calming.
