Class Of Heroes 3 Has Thousands And Thousands Of Custom Avatars

By Spencer . July 13, 2010 . 4:03pm

Acquire is boasting about the number of avatars players can make in Class of Heroes 3. And that number is over 75,000.

Players start by picking one of ten tribes. Then a uniform (3 types), face (two per gender), hairstyle (four types), and hair color (eight types). Here’s a look at the last two selections.

The option with the most choices may surprise you – it’s character voice. ZeroDiv is including twenty voice types in Class of Heroes 3. Class of Heroes 3 hits PlayStation 3 and PSP on September 16. We’re curious to see how much extra voice data, if any, the PS3 version has. Additional voices were a feature for Class of Heroes 2G, an expanded PSP to PlayStation 3 port.

This won’t change how unexciting the game play is unless they have actual character models in battle at least. The thing that makes Shin Megami Tensei first person dungeon crawlers is the story and characters — these games are just bland

      thats the idea
they cant put models because wizardry dont have models
this game is for old school gamers who couldnt see the characters and the attacks but could feel the battle using their imagination

Sounds like the more “hardcore” first-person dungeon crawlers aren’t for you, then. Plenty of them play like CoH and it is pretty “tame” by most standards.

      • I wouldnt call this “hardcore” id say its more of a let me see “old school” gameplay dont really like it! i have bad imagination

    • No story, no characters developpement. It’s fun for few hours, but I have no motivation to complete this level grinding game! Maybe with less battles, a story and characters developpement that would be fun. But that would be a first person RPG and not a dungeon crawler! :-)

  • Maybe some online ranking or whatever might help to improve this as well :P, if you wanna be original you have to show off as well

So that must mean Phantasy Star Portable has a kajillion different custom avatars?

With the human race only, Phantasy Star Portable 2 has over 200,000,000,000 possible character designs. That’s also not counting hair and eye color, which Class of Heroes seems to be doing.

Unlike Phantasy Star and actually a lot of games, the Class of Heroes custom avatars is pretty weak.

  • Really wish someone would pick this up in the States for PS3 :P

Guess I could import CoH3 though. Not like it’s a hard to navigate through or anything.
