imageUbisoft published No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle first. Then Rising Star Games released it. Today, Marvelous finally announced Travis’ dual beam katana wielding game for Japan.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is scheduled to come out on October 21. Marvelous is also preparing a “Hoppers Edition” which includes the game, a DVD with a new movie written by Suda51 called No More Heroes 1.5, a soundtrack CD, and a fan book for 8,980 yen ($101). Pre-order No More Heroes 2 and you also get an erotica comic too.

Don’t want the Grasshopper goods? There’s a basic black box version coming out on the same day for 7,140 yen ($81) too.

Wow, I kinda want that in the US, especially with the NMH1.5 disc!

  • “a new movie written by Suda51 called No More Heroes 1.5”
    Oh my gaaaaaah!

“There’s a basic black box version coming out on the same day for 7,140 yen ($81) too”
How do they expect this to sell? Why do 3rd party games have to be so expensive in Japan? A new mainline Mario Wii game costs 5,800yen.

Wow I really want this! Crappy Ubisoft couldn’t even give us a color manual! Plus, they didn’t even include the comic book type manual for NMH that Japan and/or Europe got.

  • Holy smokes, I will admit to being an absolute worshipper of Suda51, so I do want that No More Heroes 1.5! Too bad it looks weird to put a period after 1.5, so I’ll have to make sure it doesn’t mark the end of a sentence when I write it.

Do I have OCD? Why yes, yes I do.

    • Ack! Me too! There are many things like that 1.5 example that bug me at the end of a sentence!

  • DemonicX

I kind of want that, but already have No More Heroes 2..
    Oh well.

  • ForeverFidelis

Not touching the series ’til paradise is localized.

Setting up the Wii is too much trouble

      Have fun waiting for eternity.

    • Dude! NMH & NMH2 are worth owning a Wii for! The Xbox 360/PS3 ports aren’t even as good!

  • Code

rarr, that sharp yellow is really eye catching, it’s a shame we didn’t get a boxset like this I would have snapped it up in a heart beat >w<! That's something I've always thought was a shame was how lackluster the north american boxarts were T_T' so much potential to visually jump off the shelf in a sea of Wii games, wasted.

I agree, the US box art for NMH1&2 were horrible.. the 360 cover is so nice. I bought NMH 2 on sale for $17 alrdy. If they put in the extra Jpn track in the Jpn ver. like they did Paradise, I would buy this again. Still haven’t finished the first game though.. damn the long load times and freezing :(…

  • Doh! More money that is falling out of my pocket!

  • lostinblue

I want it, bundle it to europe with the bloody No more heroes 1 included (and who knows, perhaps some of the upgrades done for the ports) and we’re talking :3

I’ll buy it at a high price.

  • gatotsu911

Whoa there, now!! Will we be seeing this? And did you say A MOVIE WRITTEN BY SUDA??? (Is it anime? Machinima?)

  • DeisticBrace

    Finally, an official soundtrack.
