Virtual On Force will be a full blown retail release. To keep the disc in your Xbox 360 and out of secondhand shop, Sega is beefing the game up. The home version includes a new mission mode and online cooperative play.

Stuck on a mission? Log on to coop mode with an experienced mech pilot and tackle it together. Expert players can assist newcomers to the “you win” screen.

Virtual On Force is scheduled to come out this year in Japan.

  • As soon as this game was even announced, I decided that I’m finally getting an Xbox 360. The dramcast port to live was tempting enough, but this did it completely. That and the new 360 model did it. So for once in a generation, I’m going to have all the major systems. And all that, despite still not liking the 360 as a system, even though the new model fixed a lot of problems I had (not biased, I still just feel there’s too many problems). So it really does all come down to the games in the end, at least for me. Good thing there’s some other “lesser” games I want for 360 as well :P (i mean, multiplayer Castlevania: HoD is sweet too but.. new Vitual On! yeah, no twin sticks, but still!)…this is having a western release, right..? D:

Oh we can actually do split screen this time? Thank goodness! Now let’s hope you can have a friend with you and take him online so that you could have you and your friend (who is sitting next to you) play two random people.

      Split-screen co-op is a must for me.
I hope the devs don’t believe we’re all friendless basement-dwellers nowadays.

Please port this to the PS3, Sega.

  • capristrider

SEGA, read my lips, Sony PlayStation 3

  • This game is looking more and more gorgeous with every news article on it. :D So freaking excited about it. ^^ (Also, much happiness for the (overdue) inclusion of split screen support! Definitely was missing it in the Oratorio Tangram XBLA release)
