Battlefield Scenes From Record Of Agarest War 2

While Compile Heart’s Record of Agarest War series gets a fair share of attention for its dating sim elements, players spend more time in battle than soul breeding.

So, if you’re thinking about importing Record of Agarest War 2 when it comes out on PlayStation 3 this fall, here’s what you have to look forward to. Compared to Record of Agarest War, the battlefields in 2nd appear smaller.

It’s look like Cross Edge battle system to me.(except, there’s no buttons, only commands).
p.s. the sprite graphics looks pretty good, and i like character design.

Graphically, it doesn’t seem to look much improved from the screens. I’m sure people will complain about it, because of this. It doesn’t bother me too much.

I, personally, hope they learned their lesson the first time around and change A: the horrible amount of required filler battles, B: Make the dating-sim questions more relevant to, you know, actual dating.

    • Pretty much the same thoughts I had for that last paragraph. The majority of the reason I put that down against Trinity Universe was just how utterly slow the darned thing dragged on. I would have been much better off without the need of 300-some-odd battles going through the game just to push a plot point.

Needless to say, I’m only halfway through the second gen because it completely lost my interest on the amount of work that was needed to be done. It’s supposed to be a -game- not a chore.

    • Yeah, but i think the charm is when the characters are performing the attacks, etc, there seems to be more movements in the sprites, wich makes it look cooler xD

  • Looking good so far for me.

Wow, those sprites look beautiful. That’s a huge step up from the first game! As one of the few loyal fans of the original game, I am definitely excited about the sequel. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an eventual US release.
