imageWhen it was announced for Japan, Square Enix set Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for fall, and the Nintendo DS game’s release is right on target.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded appeared in V-Jump and an info box has the game’s release date, October 7. Square Enix unveiled Kingdom Hearts Re:coded at E3, but didn’t set a release date for North America.

H.a.n.d., the makers of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, are developing the remake. Yes, remake. Kingdom Hearts Re:coded adds elements from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep’s battle system to a 2009 mobile phone game where a digital version of Sora explores Jiminy Cricket’s computer bug-filled journal.

Hmm new KH game but not that excited :(
Wonder what BBS battle system they add for Re:coded
Waiting for KH BBS US version :p

  • Hmm… So many KH prequels it’s hard to keep up >.<

    • Ren

Hmm, this is actually a sequel to the second game… even if nothing really important happens in this game, and it’s pretty much filler from start until the last cutscene, wich will just explain something you’d already know if you played or knew the story of BBS, at least on the cellphone game.

  • Well, right now all i have my eyes on is birth by sleep :D

  • didn’t they say they wanted to release something special for american fans’ thats why they made Re:Coded? so why does japan have a date and not us?

    • Joanna

Don’t worry, we will get our date soon enough. There is no way SE would not publish this here.

(And I won’t mind if it’s a little later since I’m so behind in Kingdom Hearts ^^;;;)
