I understand what you're saying and in a lot of cases I agree with you. But my situation is not one of intentional discrediting of the developers work, my comment is simply based on me not being all that familiar with the Tactics Ogre franchise and as such, I still have to grow to love it and that is mainly why at this stage I'm only in the “considering”-phase. Besides that, there's always the issue of prioritizing which games to spend my money on. There will probably be a lot of games I will be wanting more by the time this game becomes available to me.

Totally agreed. And 'sexy' in a classy way, not a creepy/gross one. The artist (Tsubasa Masao?) is wonderful. I'd love to see an artbook for a preorder bonus…or even as part of an LE.

This is what's irritating about Siliconera sometimes. It always happens when a game is announced in JP. Several posts screaming/depressed for a translation/localization while bashing some game company. When news of North American release appears, multiple posts saying “Hmmm…maybe I'll consider thinking about maybe purchasing it…Maybe”. Sometimes the game devs can't win…Sorry for those who find this post offensive.

Nice quote! I actually find it refreshing that they're trying to stick to the look/feel of the original rather than going overboard trying to update the graphics like many other revisits to older series.

Also, this makes me feel better about getting a PSP just for Peace Walker haha ^^

I've been meaning to try out this game (and the TO series in general) so I'm happy to hear this news and it's pretty much a guaranteed preorder.

But it's a little worrying that there's no sign of a release date. I hope they're relatively close to the end of development. Many of S-E's games are released promptly, sure, but a fair number have been announced (IMHO) waaaay too early...in some cases multiple years before release. I hope this is not one of those cases.

P.S. Dear Square-Enix NA. It would be awesome if DQVI was released in time for my birthday. You've still got several months until September. I'm sure you can do it! :>
