Europe Gets The Ultimate BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Collector’s Edition

By Spencer . August 2, 2010 . 2:07pm

Zen United, publisher of Arc System Works titles in Europe, announced a BlazBlue: Continuum Shift collector’s edition that’s big enough to make anyone who knows what an Astral Finisher is drool.

Their fan’s edition bundle includes BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, a code to download Makoto, the Noel Nendoroid, a limited edition print from Udon artist Alvin Lee, a 96 page art book, and illustrated cards with move lists on the back. All of this can be yours for £54.99 ($87). Zen United should sell out of these quickly since they’re only making 500 of these.

A regular limited edition with the art book and illustrated cards will also be available in Europe this October. Sometimes patience really does pay off.

Omg this pisses me off soooooooo bad. Why didn’t america get a nice LE like this?!I want that Noel nendoroid!!!!!!

  • Yay!, but the cover it’s going to be horrible…

  • Kris

    Dear Aksys,
You could and should have done an LE like this. I and many other people would have bought it. Instead, you gave us a five page, no color manual. Needless to say I am disappointed in you. Do better next time.

  • it’s too bad that i’m not willing to part my money 2 months in advance just to get a cute noel nendoroid. Ill just order the other edition which cost me 21 pound less than the collector’s. Xbox 360 edition anyone?

    Homer: Urge to kill rising…..

  • puchinri

That’s bloody cheap, considering how much Nendroids themselves generally cost (or the game itself). Lucky Europe~.

    • How much do the small ones usually fetch for? The regular sized ones are around 3000 yen from what I’ve seen.
      You’re probably right, though.

      • CIN

Regular ones are usually 500-600y but this one is not available separately so it may be more pricey.

    • Note, it’s a Nendoroid Petit, so it’s half the height of a normal Nendoroid. Nendoroids are about ~$20-30 and Petites are about $8-15.

looks like EU gamers are getting more and more LE’s. Which is actually great for them as in the past they have always gotten the short end of the stick. Though it’s a shame that EU seems to be picking up steam with limited editions and NA seems to be slowing down(at least with the games I want).

  • Sweet package. Alvin Lee is my favorite artist from the Udon group, so it’s good to see him involved with something like BlazBlue. He should have submitted his art for their last contest :P
Only 500, though? If I had a PS3… eh, I might not get it anyway, but very tempting. Hopefully, this can boost the fighting scene in the UK. You know, something to do till they wait for the next FIFA game ;)

  • ForeverFidelis

At least they didn’t get the good cover art..

D’aw who am I kidding, our cover art is boring, too.

  • First Shigenori Soejima Artworks and now this…

    Come to papa, nendoroid Noel

  • And Western Canada still doesn’t have the game >:( I’m still waiting aksys

  • Why did I preorder the US version again?

To be able to play it as fast as possible. Yeah that was the reason.

Aksys, why didn´t you make something like this? I would have bought it without thinking twice..

Did the “Naughty Edition” of Agarest come back to bite you in the behind so we won´t be getting LE versions for a while or what?

Damn it all to some place.

Oh well. At least I can play the game which should be the most important thing but man, I want those cards and that artbook!

^^ Can’t… stop… smiling. Thank you, Zen United!

Edit: Blargh! That’ll teach me to be excited about something; the 500 units are sold out already. Damn my “Late Arrival” geas!

  • FlamingSausage

This is a huge improvement, considering Zen United took almost a freaking year to publish Calamity Trigger with constant delays and a mediocre Limited Edition.Glad to be one of the 500 lucky ones :)

  • masuto

Geez, can’t you guys tell they’re ripping you off? Everything is just paper! The tiny artbook is the same thing from JP. Those postcards thingy…you know those are useless. The Alvin Lee art…don’t be fooled. That’s the size of the game cover. Now add the price of the game ($40) and the Nendoroid ($20 during AX10) and Makoto (possibly $7)…what do you get? About $67…compared to $87 (does not include tax and shipping yet. See? What do you guys really want from the LE? Papers?

  • Already sold out D: I want art book!!
