Intense Dungeon RPG Crawling To DSiWare

By Spencer . August 4, 2010 . 10:48pm

imageSimple Series developer Intense is going indie. The Tokyo based studio started of by developing titles for D3 Publisher such as Misshitsu no Sacrifice and escape-the-room games for DSiWare.

Dungeon RPG Pikudan will be their first solo title. As the name suggests it’s a dungeon RPG where you crawl through a maze filled with monsters. Players can attack or raise their shield to block when they run into creatures that vaguely look like Pokemon or deadly chairs.

Dungeon RPG Pikudan is scheduled to come out this month in Japan for 500 DSiWare points ($5).

This looks like an odd combination of your average dungeon crawler meeting Rodney Alan Greenblat, heh. I’m definitely going to be catching up on the Japanese DSiWare shop. Maybe this might tide me over till EOIII.

Lucario equipped with kunai… well, I like dungeon-crawling… should it make it to EU DSiWare I’ll probably try it out.

    Deadly chairs? I’m in!

Why does it feel like Strange Journey without the end of the world and Lucario making a cameo? That all makes me want it more though. Aside from the fact that it looks fun and cute.
