By Spencer . August 5, 2010 . 12:59am

016[2]In Japan, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is simply called Deus Ex. Square Enix plans on publishing it in their home country too under their Extreme Edges label for Western developed games.

Square Enix, today, updated the Japanese press with more screenshots of Adam jumping through windows and sneaking behind desk jockeys. While these screens show Adam, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is played from a first person perspective. The camera pans out and reveals Adam when he does a takedown move or takes cover.

I doubt it will be too successful over there.

      For that…needs:

3rd person mode. Japanese dont play FPS
      More Square-Enix character model style

Also, the main character doesn’t have spiky Goku hair.Jokes aside, I’m not too hopeful on this game. Maybe it’s because there’s Squenix behind it. Or maybe it’s because I simply don’t believe they could make it match up to the original Deus Ex.

S-E is only helping a bit with the FMV’s. And if you notice he does have a bit of spikey hair. He’s just not Bishounen/androgynous enough.

Wow, look at all that brown!

    • Pesmerga00

You must have missed the memo. Brown = Realistic.

      • cowcow

        thats why poo is brown!

        • Pesmerga00

It’s all starting to make sense now. o.O

Personally, I think this might be one of the best “Art direction” in a western game, it fit the setting very well.

I have this odd feeling that this game is going to blow my mind when in motion… and I’m going to enjoy every moment of it.

Ah, the age-old Japan vs. America debate.

Why not just accept the fact that they both have their own abused, tired clich├Ęs?

No one is better than the other, because they both suck.

        • FireCouch

          Exactly.

i never said anything about “the age-old Japan vs. America debate”
i’m just tired of seeing caucasian characters in videogames lol

you hardly ever see any asian, black or latino LEAD characters in videogames
it’s always the same token minorities

          • Hraesvelgr

There is a reason for that, as sad as it is. Even games that do something different, like GTA:SA, end up being a bit too stereotypical.

I have high hopes for this game, really high hopes! I’m looking forward to this game more than any other game ever!
