After much anticipation, Blizzard Entertainment has finally revealed the release date for the Diablo 4 Season 4 Loot Reborn. The massive overhaul of the game’s loot system will launch in early May. Here is everything you need to know about when you can play D4 Season 4.
D4 Season 4 Release Date Explained
Diablo 4 Season 4 will be released on May 14, 2024, at 10 am PT/1 pm ET/7 pm CET. Blizzard Entertainment shared the launch plans for D4 Season 4 through an official blog post, which detailed some of the most major changes that will appear. Updates include making the gear system easier to understand and making these systems more accessible to casual players.
Additionally, the Codex system will undergo a complete overhaul. Instead of needing to filter through Codexes with varying percentage upgrades, the Codex with the best attributes will store itself in your new library. This cuts down on needing to farm “Best in Slot” items significantly.
Tempering Manuals will also appear alongside the update. This is an entirely new mechanic that will enhance your weapons significantly. The Loot Reborn update is entirely focused on items, as you can probably tell, which will effectively change how some of the available classes are played. Hopefully, it will make classes like the Necromancer more viable.
Players were able to get a taste of these changes through the Diablo 4 PTR. The PTR, or Public Test Realm, is still available but is exclusive to PC. So unless you own a copy of Diablo 4 for PC through the Blizzard Launcher, you will not have access to the Public Test Realm. It is unclear if future updates will appear through the PTR before the official release.
Diablo IV is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X. It is also available through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. The Diablo 4 Season 4: Loot Reborn release date is set for May 14, 2024.
