Square Enix Selects Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon For Game Archives

By Spencer . August 6, 2010 . 4:25am

imageChocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon is the next Square Enix PsOne game coming to PlayStation Network. Shinji Hashimoto just announced the title on the Square Enix Members Twitter account.

This title is different from Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon 2, which was released in North America. Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon is the game that kicked off the series.

No date has been announced, but past Twitter-nounced Game Archives titles were released about a month after the tweet.

Its depressing not knowing if the games are going to be released overseas. Another of interest I might soon have to forget.

Since this one was never released overseas in the first place, I highly doubt it will make it over to any non-Japanese PSN.

I’m sure there’s not really a reason to play the first if you own the second, though. It’s not like these types of games are heavy on storyline and there was hardly any in the second. Gameplay on the second was really good though.

Really? This is really considered a higher priority than Chrono Cross??

Reminds me that we never did get those two Chocobo DS games. :(
