Solarobo Is A Nintendo DSi Enhanced Game

By Spencer . August 24, 2010 . 4:46am

imageCyberConnect2 developed a Nintendo DS game that fully utilizes the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi hardware. A leak from retailer Game Star mentions Solarobo uses the Nintendo DSi’s camera to take pictures for use in the game.

Game Star also notes Solarobo has an Air Robo Grand Prix. This mode supports up to four players for wireless races.

Solarobo also has downloadable quests, which are distributed for free over Nintendo Wi-Fi.

Yay a worthless feature that has the added ‘bonus’ of making the game region protected for DSi/XL owners.

That sucks. I didn’t think of that. Good thing I own a DS Phat! Why is Nintendo going assbackwards?

So… i cant play it in my lite?

    • Ren

You can play it in your lite. It just means that if you play in a DSi, you’ll be able to use the camera to do something that you can’t on the lite. Like how you can use video conference in pokemon B&W if you have a DSi, but you can play the rest just fine if have a fat or lite.

Like take a picture of yourself and make yourself a furry. :P

I’m still on my old prehistoric DS that I bought in 2005. With 3DS around the corner, I have no desire to buy a DSi, so I’ll probably wait until then to play this game (if it even comes out in the US).

You can still play it on the DS, just you won’t be able to do the little extras.

I’m glad it’s just enhanced and not exclusive. No way am I picking up a DSi now that 3DS is definitely on the way.
