Guilty Gear Gaiden For DSiWare!? It’s Not A Fighting Game

Guilty Gear Gaiden For DSiWare!? It’s Not A Fighting GameArc System Works is doing something with the Guilty Gear series, but they aren’t making a new fighting game. Furo Jump!! Guilty Gear Gaiden!? is a platformer starring Chimaki. He’s on a quest to visit a back pain relieving hot spring, but someone sent pink elephants and turtles to stop him from getting there.

 

Chimaki has to jump, spin on a soap rider, and towel snap his way through 2D levels to make it to soak in a relaxing hot spring. Furo Jump!! Guilty Gear Gaiden!? comes out on September 1 and will cost 500 DSiWare points ($5).

    Er… I would usually say I’m glad to see them doing something with Guilty Gear, but this is so far away from it I don’t care at all.

    That is… not what I’d hoped it would be. :(
    I’d rather have something that closed up various loose ends in the story, or even something that just starred Sol or somebody.

    As much of a Guilty Gear fanboy as I am. . . .I really am having trouble seeing -any- relation to the universe from these screen shots. It’s pretty much seeming at this point like they just slapped on the Guilty Gear name to grab some sales from fanboys. . . .

    Unless maybe they put Sol Badguy in as the final boss or something. That’d be kinda cool.
