Metal Gear Solid: Rising Will Be At Tokyo Game Show

Konami confirmed Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be at Tokyo Game Show, but the publisher didn’t specify if attendees would get a chance to cut up watermelons on the show floor or if it’s just a new trailer. Unfortunately, Konami’s newly opened Tokyo Game Show site doesn’t note which games are playable.

In addition to Metal Gear, Konami’s booth will be home to a new brain teasing puzzle game Zack & Ombra, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and Catherine from Atlus.

  • No Dance Dance Revolution PS3? Oh.

Anyway, I cant wait to see or hear if they can reveal more ways in which the player can engage in zan datsu.

I’m still not certain whether or not to be excited for Rising yet. I want to be, since I liked Raiden, but I guess I’ll need to know more. I usually love the MGS trailers, but the one at E3 just didn’t draw me in.

I could see that. The trailer for rising was almost like a tech demo. No plot exposition. Just raiden cutting it up. Hopefully what they show gives a better idea on what they expect of this property and how they intend to flesh out Jack and his ties to the past and the present.

Same here, I wasn’t too impressed with the trailer. You could def tell Kojima wasn’t in charge. Hopefully it will have some depth like the rest of the series, not Raiden-as-mindless-killing-machine (which could be fun gameplay-wise, but not have that MGS feel story-wise).

F*ck Yeah! It’ll be my first proper MGS, I’m so excited can’t wait to cut stuff up ^_^

  • [The Hunter] Doomrider

Oh, Raiden! I’ll take my steak raw, thanks buddy.

Interesting..I never knew Falcom and Atlus are partners with Konami on Zero no Kiseki and Catherine
