Tokyo Jungle Has Animals Battling In The Streets Of Japan

By Spencer . August 31, 2010 . 7:08pm

tokyojIn 20XX mankind left Earth leaving animals to fend for themselves. The once busy streets of Tokyo are now home to lions, tigers, and chickens. All of them are fighting for survival in this PlayStation 3 game developed by the creative PlayStation C.A.M.P. team inside Sony Computer Entertainment.

Tokyo Jungle has two modes: story and survival. In story mode you play through missions, which eventually explain why humans left the planet. A pomeranian and thoroughbred horse are key characters in the story.

Survival mode has players pick and animal and survive as long as they can. Tokyo Jungle has online leaderboards so you can see how your rabbit survival skills stack up against other players. Animals confirmed for Tokyo Jungle include lion, crocodile, tiger, giraffe, chimpanzee, hippo, cheetah, chimpanzee, gazelle, chicken, beagle, and fox.

Chicken vs. lion. The battle begins this winter.

ha strange, I have no idea what this would be like, but it’s a different concept so I’m kind of intrigued. I’m kind of reminded of Disaster Report.

  • MrRobbyM

It’s kinda like Monster Hunter, just the other way around.

So many animals in a unusual setting is something I just can’t pass up.

Pomeranians can be tough liitle bastids. The smart money is still elsewhere, though.

So when people call Pokemon animal abuse, what are they going to call this?

When they say any animal, do they even let you choose by breed? I’d pick a welsh corgi for sure. (And name myself Ein…)

    • thebanditking

Corgi’s are nice looking dogs, I had one. Nasty little pup though, would bite and growl if you tried to pet him. So unfortunately for Ein (Love Cowboy Bebop btw) I would have to go with my current dog breed, a Shetland Sheepdog. Sorry way off topic;p

      • puchinri

I’ve never had one, but I always wanted one (and I miss catching Bebop on at night).
Ohh, lucky! Shelties are such cute, smart dogs too. Lol, not off topic at all.
