A Bunch Of Blue Roses Screenshots

21[1]In less than two weeks Nippon Ichi and Apollosoft, a studio populated by ex-Flight Plan developers, are going to release a new RPG.

Blue Roses: The Fairy and the Blue Eyed Warriors blends grid style strategy RPG maps with classic RPG combat, sort of like Devil Survivor. When you run into an enemy the game shifts into 16-bit presentation where you can select attacks and boost damage by following quick time events.

The game takes place in a world where humans and fairies coexist. Rosche, the male lead character, works as a delivery boy. Alicia, the female lead, teaches young Blue Roses, a group of blue-eyed knights you lead. Players can select to either Alicia or Roche as the main character.

Blue Roses: The Fairy and the Blue Eyed Warriors comes out on September 16 in Japan. Plans for a release in North America have not been announced.

  • Oh how cute, NIS, I hope they do bring this over. The PSP RPG catalog for theirs here is lacking party based RPGs for the foreseeable future.

    The battle graphics look hot

  • cmurph666

Man, I’m a sucker for all games NIS brings over.

I dun like it. It should be real size characters like Valkyria Chronicles/Persona 3/Fate/Extra etc.

Tired of chibi and moe clicheness and think more people are starting to get tired of it too seeing as how the # of RPGs are declining

    • Yeah, but is the first game of a new developer, we cant expect much in that matter :P, but knowing the team (or part of it) that worked on this, im sure the story is interesting, and great with comedy as well, don’t know if you ever played a summon night game

    • JustaGenericUser

  • xhunter

Oh wow.I wasn’t expecting much but this look much better than I though.I’ll buy it if it comes out here.

  • Jaxx-Leviathan

I like the art-style and I’m a sucker for grid-based RPGs. Hoping for a localization.

  • shion16

    Thats…RPG MAKER 2003

    • Woah….big understatement there. This can’t be rpg maker 2003, its a psp game. I don’t care if you were kidding. That was really dumb and a great way to make a fool out of yourself, congratulations sir. its’s people like you that plays games for its graphics and don’t give a crap about anything else, thats really sad. Just saying.

      • shion16

        wait wait wait
i play the games for its graphics?? i only have a wii and a psp so nice joke xD
i dont care if its look more real than looking me at the mirror.
Now, Nippon Ichi is one of my fave companies, but lastly they dont use too much potencial. And this and neptune are the perfect example of lack of creativity
