A Yakuza 4 Trailer Made For America

By Spencer . September 3, 2010 . 5:39am

Sega revved up the Yakuza 4 promotion machine with an action packed trailer. Before you watch it you might want to read up on the three new characters. This trailer jumps straight to Saejima carrying a gun his mouth without introducing him.

Sega also shared the stylish Yakuza 4 box art for North America. The Japanese box art is on the right for comparison. Yakuza 4 comes out in the West in spring 2011.

  • US boxart is awesome.

    • It is indeed, badass

After the abomination that was the third game’s box art, I’m really impressed that they managed to pull off something so nice looking.

Looking forward to this game from SEGA. Yakuza 3 was so addictive.

SEGA is quite on a roll after brining Yakuza 3 to English. VCII is very fun and I am looking forward to vanquish.

  • I can’t thank you enough for this, Sega

also please get me a copy best friends

I can’t remember the last time I preferred the US box art over the Japanese but here’s one example. Thank you Sega.

What?! No awesome pop-dance music like Yakuza 3’s trailer?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBFd8GMjIww

Oh well. At least the NA boxart is not craptastic like Y3’s.

US box art better then the JP release!? Impossible some say, yet here it is. Great work Sega!

  • I wonder what this will mean for the PSP version coming to the US

  • MrBushido

This is the very same opening theme of the original Japanese version, so it’s hardly a trailer “made for America”. In fact, they have the same trailer in the UK, where it premiered first, actually.

I don’t think the US box art looks that good. Would rather have the Japanese box art. Getting the game day one though.

  • I’m still avoiding Yakuza stuff, because I’ve only beat the first one…

I gotta find the 2nd! O: I loved the first!
