SCEA Continues Badman Series With No Heroes Allowed

4941846847_166f3804b0_oThe Badman series lives on in the States, but NIS America isn’t involved with the cheeky overlord anymore. Sony Computer Entertainment America is self-publishing the next game in the series on their own under the name No More Heroes Allowed. In Japan, SCE handled all of the Badman games.

No Heroes Allowed has new elements like water which flows underground and a co-op mode where Badman & Badmella share a dungeon. Acquire also added new monsters for the game’s 33 stages and a Dungeon-A-Day mode with 100 challenges to tackle.

While SCEA confirmed the title, they didn’t announce any release information. I might be reading into this too much, but the US trailer only shows the game running on a PSPgo. What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord 2!? was released in stores back in April.

  • Now that Sony see this game works for NISA, they are taking it? Without any risk for releasing a “new kind” of game -.-, …anyway i’ll be waiting until they take Vesperia and tales of graces for ps3 next (yeah right :P)

Well, truth to be told ToG and ToV not coming is entirely Namco’s fault. Sony/Nintendo could but they don’t have any obligation, it’s the developers interest to build a userbase, not theirs. Not to mention how anal Namco is about that franchise, not letting XSEED and others even touch it despite the fact they’re not publishing it.

      • Oh, talking about that, i saw in the playstation blog people voting for the tales of games lol, and they already have a big sum of votes in there… of course i already voted, dunno if it will change something, but still, this place can be seen directly by Sony’s people

Yeah I voted too, if anything to raise awareness. I don’t have a PS3 though. I wish Namco would just step up and bring it pronto, for the two platforms where it’s due now.

  • I guess #SCEA @playstation learned its lesson about niche games, after seeing how it financially shot itself on the foot, when @AtlusUSA made profits for the US marketing of Demon’s Souls.

More Badman is never a bad thing.

I wonder how this is going to affect the dialouge humor in the localization.
