The publisher has a Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes demo scheduled to hit PlayStation Network tomorrow, which lets players try two of the fifteen characters. Ieyasu Tokugawa and the sword-wielding Mitsunari Ishida are playable.

It seems like Capcom made the Segoku Basara: Samurai Heroes demo for the West since one was not released when the game came out in Japan this past July. Sengoku Basara: SamuraI Heroes makes its North American debut on October 12.

  • Yeah, that’s kind of weird that Japan never released one. I really thought they would, but the only thing they had close to that was a demo play IN Japan as the developer did a bus tour to talk with fans (mostly women :P) about the series and the game. It was kind of funny cause you had to play janken for a spot in line to get an autographed poster, Basara energy drink, and a chance to try the demo.

I wish there were more events like that in the States :/

Its probably because the Basara series is already well known in Japan. This is the first game coming out here (excluding Devil Kings), so I’m sure the distributors want to show how its different than Samurai Warriors which takes place in the same time frame.

  • Yes finally coming out and it’s kind of funny when reading the PS blog that majority never knew the game exist or coming out well guess I am going to download this right away whenever it gets updated.
