imageSony Computer Entertainment Europe is re-releasing Heavy Rain with a handful of extras as Heavy Rain: Move Edition.

The PlayStation Move patch isn’t the only new item on disc. SCEE added the Taxidermist DLC episode, three dynamic themes, the game’s soundtrack, and nine making of Heavy Rain movies. Heavy Rain: Move Edition carries a €39.99 ($51) price tag and starts shipping in PAL territories on October 6. Australia gets it on October 7. The UK and Ireland have can pick up the compilation on October 8.

Before Heavy Rain: Move Edition arrives in stores, current Heavy Rain owners in North America and Europe can download a free patch that makes Quantic Dream’s interactive drama PlayStation Move compatible on September 22. Heavy Rain requires a either a navigation controller or a Sixaxis pad plus a Move wand to play it with motion control.

Don’t have Heavy Rain? A two-scene demo with PlayStation Move controls will be available as a PlayStation Network download on September 28.

  • I first read that title as “Europe Gets Heavy Rain: Movie Edition, Move Patch Coming To North America”.

    • I just read that as Europe gets heavy rain. :/

My Heavy Rain is still sealed. Looks like I’m going to sell it before the US version of Move edition is released.

    • Just a heads up – there may not be a US Move Edition that may be a PAL only release.

I’m still unsure what Move support is going to do for Heavy Rain. I can’t imagine the actions you do in game get any more interesting because I waggle a rod around instead of using the controller.

Plus for anyone who’s already played the game, it was fun the first time through but is it the type of game you’d go back and play again and again? For me it wasn’t, which is why I traded it in.

I played it quite a few times to get the trophies and hear the different lines by picking different choices, also once in Eng and once in Jpn. I’m not sure if the Move motion would be fun though, like you’re still entering commands when prompted, instead of doing the punching motion in a fight and such. Well, I guess once I get Move, I would replay RE5 Gold and Heavy Rain again, still need to get that “perfect crime” ending.

Since I already have Heavy Rain and am getting the Move (albeit only because I was able to get it on Labour Day Sale at Best Buy), I’ll give it a try.

I just need to get a replacement PS3 now. YLOD, but I can afford another one. >:)

…just wish they’d stop plastering so much information on the covers.

There’s a sale for Move at Best Buy? Which are you getting, the 320gb Move bundle? Still waiting for the best deal.. I wonder if the archery game is worth it, or should I just get everything separately. Even the charger is like $30. Maybe they would have something around Thanksgiving? Even though the 3DS will be out soon, I’m wondering if I should get the XL after the price drop, I’m just not willing to touch the DSi because the screen is too small for me…

If you preorder Move at Kmart there’s as $25 gaming credit. Kmart has been having these amazing weekly sales. My motor went out in my PSP(well, it’s screwed up, it still works but it makes a high pitched grinding sound so I won’t play games) so I skipped Valkyria Chronicles 2, but last week it was at Kmart for $25 so I picked it up. Only a week after release. Buying new and supporting Sega and still getting it cheap. Oh hells yeah.

dang I missed that.. I didn’t even finish the first VC yet though, so I didn’t think of picking up 2 yet. Many sellers seem to be matching each other like Amazon, Best Buy, or Toysrus, but KMart seems to have the best deals..well, I’ll pick up Move later when I need to. I picked up RE5 Gold and it’s still sealed. I was going to wait till Move comes out.

GET VALKYRIA II. Do it. It’s really, really good, and you don’t need to have beaten VC1.

I’m talking about those three-day online sales that Best Buy (.ca) has every major holiday. Usually, it’d be stuff like 10-20% off games/accessories (such as Move), among everything else at Best Buy.

Too bad they these sales never count toward new consoles, though. I could’ve used it right then, as the timing would’ve been perfect for me there.
