Have a 3D TV? Still have Ridge Racer 7? Then you’ll be able to play it in 3D on October 1.

Namco Bandai’s Ridge Racer 7 3D License Ver. upgrade adds 3D TV support to their racing game. Unlike the Pain patches, you’ll have to shell out 500 yen ($6) for the license to drive down the Bayside Freeway in 3D.

  • $6, charging for it, it cant be worth it at all.

nice but don’t have the game anymore, maybe if they update it with trophies and 3D I might pick it up again

    • It is coming with trophies someone over at neoGaf confirmed it.

Although I’ve never played a Ridge Racer title before, I have an extremely hard time taking the series seriously due to one Mr. Kaz Hirai.

    • Its a fun series that is great in the regards of drifting, it needs another iteration immediately

What are you talking about Kaz is awesome, and so is Riiiiidge Racerrrrrrr! Its actually a really good pick up and play title, and 7 is one of my favorites (the OST is garbage though).

Fun fact: Ridge Racer 7 will now not only be one of the few true 1080p PS3 games but will also be one of the few to support both (though not at the same time), and the game is 5 years old.

I haven’t played a Ridge Racer game since the PS1 days. Used to love the fun mechanics in the game. Was easy to pick-up and play.I didn’t know there was a RR7 for the PS3 until reading this article though :o
