Konami held a presentation at Tokyo Game Show where Metal Gear Solid: Rising producer Shigenobu Matsuyama took the stage to talk about the lightning bolt action game. Matsuyama said they spent time getting the physics, specifically the calculations for cross-section killing motions right for the game. Raiden, the lead character in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, attacks enemies with a sword in Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

 

He can also cut apart women’s clothes, which Impress Watch explains is a “little ecchi.”

 

No release information was given for Metal Gear Solid: Rising, but Hideo Kojima confirmed Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would be released for the Nintendo 3DS next year. In case you missed them, here are our impressions of The Naked Sample, a tech demo Kojima Productions brought to E3.
