Kojima Working On Directing, Game Design, And Script For His Next Game

By Spencer . September 19, 2010 . 11:43pm

imageGame blogger Nekonyan picked up on a tweet with Hideo Kojima chatting to Jiro Ishii. The Level 5 staffer is working on Time Travelers, but may be most famous for his projects with Chunsoft like the critically acclaimed 428.

Ishii complemented Kojima’s work on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow calling the trailer a gem. Kojima responded on Twitter saying he hopes to present his new work next year, a game that he’s working on game design, the script, and acting as the director.

Before you get your hopes up for Metal Gear Solid 5 or Zone of Enders 3, back in April Kojima tweeted about a taboo-breaking game as his next project.

I don’t want another metal gear.I’ve had enough of it,
I want zone of the enders 3!

  • yea i want ZOE3 already

  • SolidusSnake

Blasphemy, you can never have enough Metal Gear ;)

    • Kibbitz

      Of course it’s blasphemy… to a Snake >=P

  • [The Hunter] Doomrider

I’m getting my hopes up because it’s coming from Kojima, the game doesn’t really matter! =)

  • Snatcher/Policenauts sequel, its got to be, I need another Cyberpunk fix! Domo arigato!

    • Letiumtide

I can only dream that it’ll be another project like Snatcher/Policenauts. There seriously isn’t enough Cyberpunk out there these days that doesn’t feel completely watered down by other things.

  • Scrooge_McDuck

I thought that “taboo breaking game” was MGS: Rising?

  • MrRobbyM

I for one wouldn’t mind MGS5 as long as it’s more like MGS3 and less like MGS4. ZOE3 would be cool. But what I’d really like is a new IP.

  • Chow

Zone of the Enders 3! I don’t care if ZoE2 had quite a definitive conclusion.

  • cmurph666

I thought MGS5 was Peace Walker?

    • MisterFoxInc

      It originally was. Now it’s a PSP-game!

  • MisterFoxInc

I would definitely not mind it being a Metal-Gear-game, even though it’s unlikely. Can’t get enough of that. But all the same, like the others said, another Snatcher/Policenauts would be super-interesting as well. Anything this man produces, really.
