Another Naruto Fighting Game Enters The Ring

imageTomy also has a Naruto fighting game for Japan this year. Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special is coming to Wii with a 41 character roster. Scans from V-Jump confirm Sage Naruto, Ino, Shikamaru, Rock Lee, Sasuke, Jiraiya, and Kakashi are playable. Returning characters will have new combos.

Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special has online battles. While Nintendo Wi-Fi fights and rival cards are old hat for the West, this feature is new for Japan. Last year, Tomy released Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles in Japan instead of a fighting game like Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3.

Atlus and Tomy will release Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles in North America on November 16.

  • Woot woot, more Naruto, and this time from Tomy, although not of the same caliber as CC2, (say it in Itachi Uchiha’s voice) Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution III, was an pretty epic and addicting game. Truly, my most played Wii game to date. Naruto is perhaps the leading reason why I even keep the Wii.

Dragon Blade Chronicles, should be a pretty fun game to explore some fan fiction’s story, but its not really a fighter.

AND NEW COMBOS, I need my hand on Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special now! !!!!

  • Heres hoping they put the same effort into the game that the Western team did with REV 3. I’ll import it if the do!

Fun! i’ve been waiting for another Gekitou Ninja Taisen/Clash of ninja game.

Sheez,I guess they couldn’t follow with a numbered release after the 3rd one, most companies seem to be alergic to a 4th numbered release or something.

    It is about time.

  • Haven’t played any of the newer CoN ones(2 or 3) but I’m definitely getting this one. Hoping Killer Bee, Raikage, Mizukage, etc make it in the anime by December….we need some new blood in the games! Also thinking about the future of this series, I wouldn’t mind having a spinoff to the GNT/CoN series on the 3DS like the Accel series does with the PSP.
