Disaster Report 4’s Female Lead Dodges A Falling Building

By Spencer . September 27, 2010 . 4:08pm

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories (or if you prefer The Desperate City 4: Summer Memories) has two lead characters. You can choose either a male or female protagonist at the beginning of the game just like Disaster Report 3 which came out for PSP.

It isn’t clear how the game’s story and/or dialogue choices differ depending on the lead character, but given the kinds of tongue-in-cheek options Irem add for a bit of humor at least some lines have to be different.

Disaster Report 4 is slated for a winter release in Japan. The game supports PlayStation Move and 3D TVs, although Irem hasn’t said much about those features at this time.

  • please bring this to the us irem, atlus or NISA. ANYONE OF YOU WILL DO DONT DISSAPOINT ME NOW…not like you guys ever had.

    • Obviously you’ve never heard of Growlanser PSP and 7th Dragon DS.

As much as this still pains me, Growlanser was reportedly buggy, and 7th Dragon is likely Sega’s fault.

Argh I’m so anxious about the chances that game will come out in the west, and who might publish it. Every video and screenshot I see I want to play it more. The soundtrack is so melodious and the quakes look so intense.Raw Danger was so flawed and ugly, but provided an experience unlike any other. Thanks for keeping taps on this little company and their overlooked game, Spencer. :)

EDIT: Nvrmd, Irem is not small. They’re 100 people, which is more than Platinum Games… Makes me wonder then why their output is so slow and they’re always behind on graphics. Money?

  • This is what will fund the Bumpy Trot 2 project to keep it alive! Well..that’s what I want to believe anyway >_<

    • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

I want to believe that too, but seeing that they have said nothing about it for so long, and nothing at TGS alongside with this game, I think it’s safe to say Bumpy Trot 2 was canned.

I’m glad this is on console instead of PSP again. I have Move alrdy, but not sure when I would get a 3D TV though for the full experience…
