Ah, now this is a better look at Samurai Warriors Chronicle, a Nintendo 3DS game where you join the Warring States fight. Players start the game by creating a character, either male or female, who is the hero of the game.

Samurai Warriors Chronicle also has an on the fly character changing system where you can tap the touch screen and control a different general. From these screenshots, it appears maps have four generals that move on the battlefield independently. When you tap the screen to switch characters you also change your position. That’s a bit different from Warriors Orochi, which also had a character changing as a core mechanic.

Samurai Warriors Chronicle is slated for a spring 2011 release in Japan.

Ugly, ugly, ugly. The ground textures lack anything to them! The trees look like paper cutouts, just plain awful!!!

Not the best looking game, that’s for sure. PSP Musou game level so far.

I wonder who will voice Shingen Takeda now. His voice actor (Daisuke Gōri) commited suicide in Jannuary 2010 :(
