Ubisoft is giving gamers a second chance to play Beyond Good & Evil with a remastered port for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game stars Jade, a journalist investigating the Alpha Section, and her anthromorphic pig pal Pey’J in the year 2435. Beyond Good & Evil is an action/adventure game with bits of stealth, hovercraft driving, and photography.

Beyond Good & Evil HD has been upgraded with enhanced character models and textures, now rendered in 1080p. Like achievements and/or trophies? Beyond Good & Evil HD has twelve of them to collect.

Look for Beyond Good & Evil HD from Ubisoft Shanghai as a download for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade next year.

I was hoping it was a physical SKU. If it was I’d definetly buy it, as is… not so much.

No PC announcement makes me sad.

Well I would have liked the full onslaught of 30-50 trophies…but being able to play this game in HD is nice. I hope it isnt priced for >$14.99.

That’s great, heard so much about this game but I never had a chance to play it, and I don’t feel like getting it on PS2 now which probably looks pretty old. Now i can catch up for the eventual sequel :)

Yes! Awesome game, have it sittin a metre away from me but I guess I’ll still buy it.

    Day 1.

Once again PC gamers get left out. The original version was released on PC, so I see no reason why this HD version shouldn’t also be released on PC. The original game is on Steam, so it probably woudnt’ve been too hard for them to get this version on there too.

Because it is actively available on steam and is still very low cost, I cant see much of a crowd of PC gamers actively flocking to purchase the game. And also, cant competent PC gamers modify the settings so much to generate near HD image quality while playing the game?

Though if BGE2 is coming out to powerful consoles and the pc, then maybe they would release this updated version to the pc.

You can’t just turn an older game on PC magically HD by maxing out the graphical settings in the menu.

    A few things:

    1) 12 trophies means no platinum, which is a little disappointing, but this will be a day one download anyway.

    2) Glad to see all these games, like this and Stranger’s Wrath becoming PSN downloads. It’s one of the reasons why I love this gen.

    3) I am always surprised to see PC players on a site like this, as most of the stuff covered isn’t PC-centric.

Is this game any good? I’ve seen it for 4 dollars used and usually that means the game isn’t good.
