Konami Races Onto Nintendo 3DS With An Asphalt Game

Konami has two Nintendo 3DS games lined up for 2011, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Asphalt 3D (temporary title). While Ubisoft published the Nintendo DS Asphalt games, Konami has the publishing rights, at least for Japan, to Asphalt 3D.


Aside from these screenshots, little is known about the racing game. It’s slated for spring 2011, which could make it Konami’s first Nintendo 3DS title.

    Man, I was hoping it was a follow up to Enthusia.

  • Asphalt is looks and controls great on iPhone. It’s a game that isn’t worth more than $10. On 3DS it’s gonna cost at least 3x that. This is why the iPhone is disrupting the traditional model of videogame sales. Cheap games, but expensive hardware. It’s still cheaper in the long run.
