imageLots of people gave Square Enix’s slayer game, Lord of Arcana, a shot. Shinji Hashimoto hopped onto Twitter and announced the demo has been downloaded over 1,000,000 times.

The demo was released on August 19, way ahead of Lord of Arcana’s October 14 release date. Square Enix periodically updated the demo with extra quests. Tomorrow, the final quest which pits players against a zombie dragon will be available.

Anyone else just not enjoy this demo? The battles just seemed dull.

    • After having played the Phantasy Star Portable 2 demo, God Eater demo, and having used to own a copy of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite… Yeah, the battles were pretty dull.

I’ve enjoyed the PSP2 and GE (going to try out the GEB demo later) demos but MH’s didn’t strike my fancy and the LoA one was just a full on disappointment.

    • Yeah, I mean… Even for the PSP, the environments seemed incredibly barren and the game neither controlled as well as Phantasy Star Portable 2 nor was it as tense as Monster Hunter.

I might still get it eventually, but it’s definitely not day 1 material in my book.

      • well i think it’s better than people saying it’s another rip-off of something.

Wow….its looks the worse outta the next big 4 (MHP3rd,PSP2I,GE:B:LoA) but I guess that S-E branding can push anything. Really hope PSP2I doesn’t lose to this.

    • S-E branding? That means nothing to me… Swery branding? Sign me up! ;)

        Fair enough!
