Unfortunately, There Won’t Be A Demo Of The 3rd Birthday

By Spencer . September 30, 2010 . 1:35am

imageWhile the Lord of Arcana demo got a million people to try Square Enix’s Monster Hunter-esque game, the publisher isn’t going to release a demo for The 3rd Birthday.

"The questions about distributing a demo, I’m afraid to say there are no plans," Hajime Tabata, Director, tweeted.

A public demo with a tentacle boss monster was shown for the first time at Tokyo Game Show. The 3rd Birthday comes out in Japan on December 22.

Ah, this news is pretty disappointing. Really wanted to try a demo :(

And white liquid is coming out of them too.

Honestly, how difficult is it for a developer to release a short demo level?
Considering how expensive games are nowadays, and how easy it is to transmit data, this sort of thing should be standard.

And why not distribute a pre-release version of the game during its development, so user can give feedback? I don’t think any of this is particularly unreasonable. I’d rather that than endless hype and trailers, and you could sell a lot more games if people had the chance to play them.

Fine by me. I ll get it anyway. Been waiting too long for them to count to three. Oh and while we are at it, i belive we deserve another bushido blade as well.

It’s just fail after fail with SE at the moment ¬_¬

Yes, because I want to potentially waste $50 on a game I’m not sure about.
