Any Game Hideo Kojima Designs Will Be Named By Him

Hideo Kojima takes games with his name on them very seriously. Even the title has to have Kojima’s seal of approval.

 

"I was happy and getting used to the title given to our coming game, but I decided to change it. Any game that I design, will be named by me," Kojima posted on the English twitter page.

 

Another, perhaps, more intriguing tweet mentioned a new project. "I won’t be sure until I see my schedule, but I shouldn’t have anything scheduled today besides our daily meeting. It’s rare, but I can actually devote time to planning for my new project," Kojima wrote.

 

Kojima recently finished work on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Other announced games on his plate include Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.

      I generally don’t like Kojima, but I have to agree with this.

    “New project” as in that “taboo” game that might “force him to leave the industry” if it fails, involves 5pb, which had systems, characters, and story, etc. all coming together in his head, that isn’t ZOE3 but possibly some ADV game, and is rumored to show up at TGS 2011?The one we’ve been hearing about forever but actually know nothing of? That one? He’s only in the “planning” stages…Kojima-san is such a massive egotistical tease.

    Wait.. Didn’t Konami tell Kojima to name the “new” Metal Gear for PSX Solid? Then for the second game he wanted to name it other than Solid (Metal Gear Liquid) but Konami said no because the MGS brand was already recognized? Well maybe he got tired off being bullied by Konami in that regard..
