I’m not on the up&up so much with anime fighters (although there’s a few I have enjoyed from time to time >w<'), but I can't help but feel every time I see a Dragon Ball fighter, that it'd look so much better if it went with visuals styling similar to how CyberConenct2 handled the Naruto series.

What’s different between the two? They both look great

My feelings differ, I’m just not that hot on this look.

I don’t think Spike handled the graphics all that well (it looks low-budget… like the anime), but the gameplay is pretty fast and fluid. Dimps, on the other hand, made a great looking game with Burst Limit (looks like Toriyama’s best illustrations), but the gameplay is more linear with less freedom to move.

      • Aoshi00

Dimps was pretty careless though w/ Burst Limit, like one scene Vegeta was wearing the scouter, crushed it, and then the next scene he was wearing it again.. There are several more obvious mistakes/inconsistencies that were really bad and painful to see but I forgot what they were (I think one was Trunks wearing a sword in his Saiyan uniform).. also the constant repeated fight animation was so lazy, though I do like the simple fight mechanics of Burst Limit better than Raging Blast.

        • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

That is unfortunate. But at least it looked good graphically/ stylistically.

Wow, this games looks pretty nice! These are probably my favorite type of games; games built on the background of shonen animes, lol.

I cant wait to try the demo.

Mmmmm, those look amazing. The first one looked great, but this one looks w~ay better

  • MrRobbyM

    Burst Limit here. I’m prettier.

Yeah, but it’s easier for a 2D fighting game to look better. The game doesn’t have to process the huge environments in addition to the characters with Burst Limit

      • MrRobbyM

I took that into account, but I’m just sayin’.

  • Ereek

It really does look nice. The first few screens weren’t that impressive to me, but then I scrolled down a bit. I love how the anime games are starting to look better than the anime themselves.

    • Aoshi00

The best looking ones are still from the intro though (almost like pre-rendered vs real time), I wish the whole game would look like this. I still don’t think any DB games have surpassed the old anime in looks (though the new OVA looks horrible w/ the Blue Dragon anime style), on the other hand I think Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 looks 10x better than the Shippuuden anime. The first Raging Blast looked pretty rough around the edges, maybe this one is better.. but I’m better off watching the DB Kai re-cut, next best thing after the manga.

Looking better then Shippuden is not all that hard though, considering some of the hilarious(and ugly) animation mess ups, lol.

  • xNekux

Not buying unless it has a larger character roster than BT3
