See Cloud And Cecil’s Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy’s Third Forms

By Spencer . October 18, 2010 . 3:20am

d012scanEvery character, even returning ones, have at least three costumes in Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy. There is original form, another form, and an all-new third form. V-Jump gives us a look at four third form outfits.

Final Fantasy VII villain Sephiroth has an unaltered, original costume for his third form. Cloud has a costume designed by series artist Yoshitaka Amano. Golbez from Final Fantasy IV has an outfit from Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. Cecil’s third form costume is based on the Final Fantasy IV DS remake.

V-Jump also has new information about the assist system where players can call out a partner character for a brave damaging or HP damaging attack. Hit your opponent’s assist character during an assist attack to trigger an assist lock. This prevents your opponent from using an assist for a period of time. As a comeback move, Square Enix created the assist charge system. If you’re in a pinch with low HP and successfully counter an attack you’ll get one full assist bar. That’s good enough to do a brave attack with L + O.

Sephiroth’s unaltered costume is the best, I’m glad they decided to include it.

They didn’t get very creative with Cloud, they should have gave him his clothes from Crisis Core or even his dress lol. Goblez looks scarily cool and Cecil looks fabulous XD. Sephiroth looks badass as always.

I now demand Cloud to have a dress costume in future Dissidia games!

      • karasuKumo

        Me too!

If you’re talking about the Shinra outfit, they should have made that as an alternate I think.

      Miss Cloud!

This, definitely this, Cloud has lots of options! And this isn’t nearly as different as it could have been. Hell even having a Zack skin for Cloud would have been nice.

      • karasuKumo

Exactly, and even a Kadaj skin for Sephiroth would have been nice.

      Cloud-in-a-dress may still be available as DLC! (^___^);

Crossdressing, ftw Yeah, Cloud’s outfit is lacking. I am glad they added his KH look though.

Still haven’t played After Years, but Golbez without armor looks pretty neat. Now I just want more Final Fantasy VI characters in here.

    Cloud’s outfit looks rather bland.

I think they have the KH 1 cloud one in there (the vincent + Cloud Costume)

  • cloudstrife345

I think I saw a pic of Cloud in his KH 1 Costume (the cloud + vincent one) hopefully thats there

Yeah Siliconera covered that awhile back. If you have saved data from Birth by Sleep you get the KH Cloud costume unlocked. The same for Lightning’s Aya costume: saved data from 3rd birthday unlocks it.
