Loveable Zombie Unearthed For Nintendo DS [Update]

By Spencer . October 19, 2010 . 6:24pm

imageI did a double take when I scanned Famitsu’s table of contents. "Zombie… Daisuki? You gotta be kidding me," I thought trying to visualize cute House of the Dead horrors.

In English, Zombie Daisuki is something like Loveable Zombie and its written in hiragana to look cute. Famitsu says its for Nintendo DS, but scans of the game aren’t out yet.

"One of Square’s otome line, no doubt," Ishaan joked. "They’re expanding their fanbase to the undead schoolgirls." Square Enix actually has an otome line now. My guess is Love Zombie Plus, but until we see the reveal we’re just imagining how absurd this game is going to be.

Update: A zombie dating game this isn’t. Scans haven’t been leaked, but details from various Japanese blogs says this is a zombie raising game where players guide zombies with the stylus to attack farms. Please note these details are unconfirmed at the moment.

  • Zombies actually freak me out, er cant imagine them in a lovable light, lol.

  • joesz

I rather buy boy’s love game, finish it,then replay it and replay it again then buying this.

  • Ereek

I’d buy it. Simply because the idea is so ridiculous.

  • I’m set on this just based on the idea.”I thought trying to visualize cute House of the Dead horrors.”The House of the Dead 2 zombies are pretty cute, or at least later in English of the Dead promo videos. I wouldn’t mind seeing them in a spin off. Not to mention HotD DX. And Plants Vs. Zombies – I’ll stop myself there. If it really does turn to be a Zombie Love Plus thing I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. There is a zombie maid cafe somewhere in Akihabara. Maybe it was a temporary thing, but still… it happened.

edit: “a zombie raising game” – that’s so cute !

I already love zombies as the rotting, moaning flesh-eaters they are. I imagine something like Cabaret Gals: Undead Edition. Train a zombie girl to be the hottest and most popular in Zombpocalypse Land.

Well, you know, at least it’s not an “X of the Dead”-title. And funnily enough, with Zombies STILL being all the rage now, this might be perfect timing to launch something as silly and possibly adorable as this.
