The Little Battlers Actually Comes With A Little Battler

By Spencer . October 19, 2010 . 2:19pm

imageLevel-5 has a multi-media strategy for The Little Battlers. The game isn’t out yet, but there are plans for an anime series and Bandai made plastic models.

One of them comes bundled with the PSP game. Every package includes a LBX AX-00 model, a prototype of Achilles, the LBX used by Ban the main character.

Prototype Achilles is on the left. The final design of Achilles is on the right. (Does it remind anyone of White Knight Chronicles?)

Even though The Little Battlers includes a model kit, the game is priced like an average PSP game. The Little Battlers will retail for 5,980 yen ($73) in Japan when it comes out on March 17.

Wow what a cool addition! This game is rather awesome, im not crazy, this game seems like it will be awesome!, lol.

I seriously must applaud the cover art here. The clash of the LBXs in the background is huge/epic while the main characters are smaller in contrast, good stuff.

  • puchinri

That is way schway. The fact that the price is still the same is even better.
I am so in love with level-5 right now. TTuTT

    73 dollar is ‘average’?

5,980 yen is the average price of a portable game in Japan. $73 is the result of converting that number with today’s exchange rates. Around this time last year it would have been $66, the year before that: $59, and the year before that one: $52.

I mean what Tommy says :)

Yeah, in Japan. When you calculate the current exchange rate the game is $73 in US dollars, but other PSP games are around 5,980 yen. D3 has an Evangelion pachislot game that’s 6,090 which is the same price as The 3rd Birthday.

Ooh, I won’t have to shell out an extra twenty bucks for the prototype Achilles kit, it looks snazzy.

Have you guys seen the photos of the Achilles kit? It looks great. I’m normally a Kotobukiya person, but Bandai might shake some cash out of me with this line.

Please release this overseas with the gunpla!

Oh man, Level-5 is becoming like a new Atlus to me, meaning I love everything they do. Hm, but when (I probably should say “if”, but I’m optimistic) this makes it to the west, will it still carry a regular game price? What’s to ensure for us not to have to pay extra for the model kit?

Ugh, every time I see the name, I think of Little Busters. That’s a little annoying

  • TNA_Lewis

The thing I love about LEVEL-5 is that they know how to make games interesting and unique; I’ve been watching this title ever since it was announced and with each small reveal I get more and more anxious.

It may just be a PSP game, but with the amount of detail and effort in not only making a game, but having toys, an anime and a manga behind it, this’ll be huge.

Level 5 is on fire with their swag~
I hope they continue this trend. :D
