Hide Galgun With A Push Of A Button

By Spencer . October 27, 2010 . 3:26pm

Playing Galgun, an on-rails game where you zap girls trying to confess their love to you, could be embarrassing in front of others. So, developer Alchemist added a button that turns this…

… into this. The "Mom’s come back screen" feature changes Galgun into a mock 8-bit RPG. Alchemist mapped the cover-up screen to a specific button.

Get ready to push it on January 27, 2011. That’s when Galgun comes out in Japan.

haha that made me laugh, they know there audience well >w<; Although to be fair it's one of the better light gun shooters I've seen in awhile, and with Inti Creates working on it, this is far closer to my do want list then I would have ever guessed, or want to believe x_x’

Interesting gimmick, such a baka-ge indeed :). Now that you have a Jpn 360 there’s no reason for you not to get this, the king of shumps lol :)

lol >w<' I'll have to consider it, I do wonder though what the control options for the game are going to be?

        • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

The only way to hit them is to… blow kisses with Kinect.

          • Aoshi00

My hands.. they’re moving on their own accord… Does facial recoginition pick up drooling faces :)?

          • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

It probably picks up your ecchi level as well! ~_O’

I’ve always been more on the side of PlayStation move, but if Galgun supported such a thing — it’d be worth every penny for how much pure win that is.

        • Aoshi00

really hope it’d be Kinect compatible. The magic word to activate the emergency screen is “Ma!?”

  • SolidusSnake

haha i wonder if it is a playable retro RPG or just a funny gimmick.

    • Would totally love to see a competent NES styled minigame similar to the part time jobs in No More Heroes 2.

  • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

But once someone discovers this gimmick this game is going to be 10x the embarrassment for its owner.

  • Testsubject909

It’s the pause button, isn’t it?

  • thaKingRocka

I remember the days of PC gaming with a boss key fondly. I never needed it, but I always liked the idea.

  • malek86

I think my mom would actually be pretty amused at this game.

  • Brilliant. I’m not one that really minds people peeking into my gameplay of the “odd” kind (I actually think the reactions are funny at games like these. My mother might even think Galgun would be cute – shooting aside). No doubt that this tool would have been useful when I was trying to complete Rumble Roses.

Although, you might be putting yourself in a corner if that someone decides to watches you try to play this game or ask why haven’t you progressed in the game yet.
