You won’t find any gameplay explanations or cutscenes in this trailer for Bullet Soul. It’s four minutes of pure bullet firing destruction.

Bullet Soul is noted visual novel developer 5pb’s first original shooter. The Xbox 360 game is slated for April 7 in Japan.

Nothing like a hardcore, top-view shoot ’em up to get that adrenaline pumping. The pace of this game looks absolutely manic. I’m looking forward to many a tense afternoon with this game.

Excellent! I’ve been looking for a new Shmup

Still have to ask why games like this are $80 or more disc titles when they should be $15 down loadables.

To shmup players, that’s the price of admission. I know this game is not originally an arcade game, but, IMO, people into shmups have a collector’s mentality (hardcore people will spend the money on a shmup PCB which can cost upwards of $500USD). Buying these games on disc is the next best thing to getting the original PCB.

That and a shmup has a lot more replay value than a lot of games nowadays.

Sweet mother of Cave the ratio of bullets being fired at you vs the amount of firepower you’re packing per sq. inch every second is totally unfair… for the enemy! XD

ps. Aren’t these guys collaborating with Kojima for something?

    Looks really really really……… bland.
Like a touhou game, too many debris well bullets that do nothing and just fill the screen with greyness, are these really the guys that ported Ketsui and Dodonpachi?

I was looking forward to this but not anymore, I know its early but doesnt show as much promise as the new G.Rev Shooter, I knew there was something odd when the first trailer was 1 minute 20secs of space and a MC building the start with just dialogue, just to show about 5(20 if you count the darkened) secs of gameplay footage before going to show who was doing the music with the gameplay obscured in the background.
