For An Action Game, El Shaddai Has A Surprising Amount Of Jumping

By Spencer . November 10, 2010 . 3:13pm

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron puts you in the shoes of Enoch. He’s armed with a bow-like weapon called the Arch and jeans from the future. Those are a gift from the time traveling guardian angel Lucifel. If you thought you were going to see Enoch fight fallen angels in this trailer… think again.

This videos is all platforming. Watch Enoch hop, leap, and cloudsurf through beautiful, but empty areas.

  • WOW I am completely mesmerized by this game’s art direction!
    Simply beautiful!

  • そんなジャンプで大丈夫か?

    ……/fail japanese

and they still don’t get bored of it lol

      • イイイイイイイイイイイイイイイイイノック
I thought I’d get sick of it, but not yet..nooooot yet.

  • MrRobbyM

It’s so beautiful and relaxing…this video actually helped my emotional outrage settle down a bit.

    • glemtvapen

      Agree +1

  • This game caught my eye with it’s E3 trailer! I like that it has mixes both 2D and 3D game elements at certain points and the platforming one looks really nice. I know there’s 3D combat but I wonder if it has any during the platforming part? Anyway the game is looking great, hoping they’ll release a demo for it whenever they’re ready.

  • My opinion on this game is now:

  • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

Ah nothing like choir women vocalizing against the sweet sound of organ pipes, while staring at a godly stained glass monolith… Platforming doesn’t seem too difficult, if anything just a tool to channel to continuously grand visual feast…

This won’t get affected by all the stormy events happening within Ignition, would it (2 canceled titles, internal studios shut down, missing CEO…)? It’s one of my most anticipated games in the coming year or two.

    • [The Hunter] Doomrider

Let me speak with certainty, even though I don’t really have any: of course not, it’s too far along in development for that, we’ll get this beauty, I’m sure of it!

(…. I hope so. I expect great things from this game!)

  • [The Hunter] Doomrider

Malicious looks like this one… Which is to say that it looks stunning.

My previous feelings about this game still stand: I will buy it and… That’s all there is to it.

(I will buy it anyway, but… Please be good!)

    • Tokyo Guy

I have only played a few minutes of Malicious but the game seems to have more in common with Stretch Panic (i.e. just boss fights) than a real game.

      • [The Hunter] Doomrider

I was talking about the graphics, I think they have a similar style.

But now that you mention it, Stretch Panic also had stages only for bosses and… a scarf =P

Are you enjoying Malicious so far?

  • Jaw dropped.

    Must buy.

  • DemonicX

    Beautiful visuals.

However, I’m still kind of iffy about buying it. Maybe a rent though.

  • Apache_Chief

I think It would make more of an impression if I could see it in hd. I like parts where you’re supposed to be wowed by visuals, but without the impressive visuals it’s kind of boring.

  • Scallion

This is the only upcoming game I’m excited for at all.

  • Joanna

I wasn’t too impressed with this game before but this trailer sold me. Stunning visuals and music, interesting monster/boss designs and the story also looks to be good (looks like Ignition is taking the road less travelled and making Lucifer more than just evil or chaotic evil).
