One More 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors Video Creeps Out

By Spencer . November 16, 2010 . 4:57pm

Did you know 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors is in stores today? Just in case you didn’t here’s a trailer to remind you about Chunsoft’s escape the room meets visual novel game. Aksys publisher of Record of Agarest War and Deathsmiles took a stab at the underrepresented genre and localized 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors for North America.

Who is Zero? I believe he’s the masked man wearing a gas mask behind the nonary game that kidnapped nine people, implanted bombs to their bodies, and threw them on a ship.

For more about Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors read our interview with Kotaro Uchikoshi, Director, and a blog from Aksys editor Ben Bateman who talks about new puzzles and ladder jokes.

  • Just to clear up any confusion, the game was shipped from our warehouse to retailers today, so depending where you live, when you receive it at a store near you may vary :)

But I’m so excited that the game is shipped :D! I hope everyone loves it just as much as we do! :D

    • Yeah I was wondering why Gamestop didnt call me today.
Also cant wait to get my pimp watch….like a boss

    • Why doesn’t Canada get the pre-order bonus?

      • Unfortunately that’s dependent on, since it was an exclusive with them :(

    • Chow

I’ll be picking this up. Just a confirmation, though, but does Canada get any chance at the watches (I think this was a Gamestop exclusive)?

EDIT: Sorry, didn’t refresh my page when I left and came back after several hours. I see your reply about it for the other person.

    • Newegg removed the game from their product database. The only online stores that Google Shopping lists as carrying the game are Gamestop, and Should I be worried?

      • Naw, feel free to order from any of the stores you just mentioned. Those just happened to be the only stores that wanted to stock it as an online product to sell :)

    • Joanna

Is the fact that it’s already temporarily out of stock a good thing? I said this else were but I had mine pre-ordered at the end of October yet I never got the game from….now my new shipment date is Dec.14th T________T

If it means there is more demand than expected, I’m happy for you guys….but I’m still sad that Amazon screwed up the shipment it needed (for pre-orders no less!) and now I’m going to have to wait…. T^T

      • I think might have it?

We just put a bundle of the game and the watch on our online store too, but unfortunately we only ship within the continental United States :(

        • Joanna

No problem and thanks for the link. The site has some nice selection and good S & H rate for Canadians. :)

  • masuto

Whaaa! I’m so excited! We’re talking about a Chunsoft game here!

  • So cool D:

  • Chow

I will call him Jigsaw when I play this. >:)

  • vadde939

Hmmmm to bother Rising Star about a PAL release or to import? Nah I’m too impatient. *runs to import awesome game NAO*

  • neetloaf

I am sadness that I won’t be getting the watch pre-order bonus through an in-store pick-up, but I’m super excited to finally get my hands on this nonetheless. Thank you, Aksys!

  • Roses4Aria

Well, I’ve tried to put aside my blood aversion and ordered this from Amazon. The story looks really good, so I’m just hoping I can get through the game without getting anybody killed…

  • XD I actually bough two copies, one for me and one for my friend today. Normally I’d smack myself for that, but I love the visual novel genre and even supporting it just a little bit more is worth the *idiot facepalm* moment

WHICH REMINDS ME. At this rate I’m going to need a “TAKE MY MONEY AKSYS” poster to go along with me “TAKE MY MONEY ATLUS” poster >_<
