Attack Zombies With A "Massager" In Dead Rising 2: Case West

Recommended Videos

The ESRB’s description for Dead Rising 2: Case West leaked a few details about the Xbox Live Arcade downloadable episode. It mentions a new combo weapon, a sickle-katana, and a "massager" item found in a lounge with neon XXX signs on the wall. Yes, you can use it to attack zombies.

Here’s what the rating board has to say about Dead Rising 2: Case West.

This is an action-horror game in which players control protagonists Frank West and Chuck Greene as they track down the company behind a zombie outbreak. Players use blades, rifles, grenades, flamethrowers, chainsaws, and characters’ bare hands to kill large groups of zombies and survivor characters. Players can also use objects in the surrounding environment (e.g., circular saws, impact hammers, exploding gas tanks) and their own constructions (e.g., a sickle-katana combo) to dispatch multiple enemies at once. Red blood-splatter effects occur frequently, and blood sometimes stains the ground and surrounding walls.

Zombies often get impaled, dismembered, and decapitated during gameplay; for example, players can run down zombies with a utility cart or slice them in half with a katana blade. One game area—a lounge with neon "XXX" and "Love" signs on the walls—depicts a "massager" item shaped like a sex toy; players can use the item to strike zombies and human characters. The words "sh*t" and "bastard" can be heard in the dialogue.

Capcom wouldn’t make the "massager" a component of a combo weapon… would they?
